FABRICATION PROCESS

From inquiry to an agreed scope.

  1. 01

    Define the part

Share its function, drawings, material, quantities and delivery location.

  2. 02

    Review the process

Identify cutting, forming, joining, finishing and any engineering or inspection requirements.

  3. 03

    Agree the scope

Confirm the quote, responsibilities, drawing revision, acceptance criteria and schedule before work.

  4. 04

    Coordinate the handover

Define packaging, delivery, installation interfaces and required documentation.

QUESTIONS / ANSWERS

Before you specify.

Which service should I select for a part needing several processes?

Choose the primary need, or Custom Metal Fabrication for a combined assembly. Describe the full scope, including cutting, bends, welds, hardware and finish, in one inquiry.

Can I request prototype and production pricing together?

List the prototype quantity and expected batch or repeat quantities separately. Identify the checks needed before a production release; process and pricing assumptions may differ.

What makes quotations easier to compare?

Use the same controlled drawings, material specification, quantities, finish, inspection requirements and delivery scope. Identify exclusions such as engineering, installation or secondary machining explicitly.

Can a project include delivery or installation?

Include the Canadian delivery location and any site work required. Availability and feasibility depend on the scope, access, handling, local requirements and agreed responsibilities.

Are all listed materials and processes suitable for my part?

No. Geometry, service conditions, material properties and acceptance requirements determine suitability. A service listing is a starting point for project review, not a universal capacity commitment.

Bring the whole requirement.

Tell us what your metalwork needs to do, where it will be used and which requirements are already defined.

FOCUSED FABRICATION

Start with the component you need.

Explore specific metalwork requirements, from individual mounting parts to complete fabricated assemblies.

Custom Brackets & Plates

Define the connection before the component. Mounting brackets, adapter plates and gussets bring equipment, frames and building interfaces together when catalogue hardware does not suit the geometry.

Custom Metal Enclosures

Bring equipment dimensions, access requirements and operating conditions together in a clearly specified metal housing. Plan the shell around the components it contains and the people who maintain them.

Equipment Frames & Supports

Plan equipment bases and support frames around real interfaces: mounting patterns, operating loads, service access and the floor or structure below. A clear design package connects fabrication to installation.
